At the Center for Research in Insurance of the Universidad de Buenos Aires we have been researching the evolution of private health coverages in Argentina during the latest years. These coverages face several challenges, some that are conjunctural, and some others that are structural. They are related not only to the main variables considered when pricing, but also to judicial and legislative risks. These latest also require structuring new sources of data in order to manage those risks. In our presentation we will give an introduction to the Argentinean health system after the latest reforms, current situation and perspectives, as well as a project for actuarial regulation to improve financial sustainability of Private Health Insurance Entities.
