From sales processes to underwriting and claims, AI tools promise to make the insurance industry more efficient and effective. But to realize the full benefits of AI, insurers need to understand and navigate the quirks of how humans truly interact with technology. This short video, featuring RGA’s Chief Behavioral Scientist Peter Hovard, introduces a handful of human biases that could impact how insurers use AI, and how behavioral science can help to mitigate them. We’ll also share early research findings that reveal how AI might help manage problematic insurance behaviors.
