The webinar aims to provide an overview of the European Union’s AI Act and its implications for actuaries and the insurance sector. Building on the insights from the “AAE Discussion Paper Navigating Europe’s AI Act: Insights for Actuaries and the Insurance Sector”, the session will cover key regulatory requirements, risk-based categorisation of AI systems, and the role of actuaries in ensuring compliance. Additionally, a guest speaker, to be announced, will provide firsthand insights into the AI Act, while experts from the AAE’s Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Working Group will discuss the challenges and opportunities of explainability in AI-driven decision-making.
