What is an actuary and how can actuaries help limit climate change?"

This video centres around my realisation that 2050 is really not that far away.  There is no time to lose in changing course on climate change and the risks associated with it. The actions we take (and don’t take) will have a massive impact on children alive today – including my own! In the video I share my perspective on what an ‘actuary’ actually is. I then show how I believe actuaries are uniquely placed to advise governments and companies on how to limit climate change. I finish the video by setting out my innovation: To build on our traditional roots, diversify further and introduce Climate Actuaries.
