The rise of social media has created a new class of professionals - content creators; whose livelihoods depends on their digital reach and reputation. While the industry offers immense opportunities, it also carries unique risks: sudden loss of followers, platform bans, defamation suits, and shifting algorithmic exposure. Currently, there’s little regulation or protection for creators, especially in developing markets. This video proposes an actuarially designed insurance product tailored for content creators. The policy would indemnify income loss due to a measurable decline in reach. To quantify and price this risk, machine learning and NLP tools are leveraged. The framework accounts for content nature, controversy levels, creator popularity, and correlated risks from collaborations. By combining actuarial thinking with data science, this approach brings structure to an unregulated space. It enables proactive risk management, dynamic pricing, and customized coverage; marking a step forward in protecting digital livelihoods in the creator economy.
